George Michael

Tribute Bands

Since winning his heat of ' Stars in Their Eyes' in 1994, Rob Lamberti has become one of the hottest acts around!? Rob lives in the North East and within months of his amazing rendition of Faith on Stars in Their Eyes, the endless phone calls for bookings persuaded him to turn professional.

Rob has now performed all over the world as a solo artist and his performance includes favorite such as Faith, Club Tropicana, Wake Me Up, and I'm Your Man - right up to his performance of Outside in his Authentic L.A Police uniform!  Not only does Rob sound like the real McCoy, the resemblance is so great that when Rob appeared as George on Granada TVs Stars in Their Eyes, the programme's make-up department had to 'tone down' his natural appearance, before the 'transformation' took place, so as not to give the game away to the audience.

His talent and ambition has led him into some fantastic opportunities and has enabled him to work for some of the music industries best. Sony employed him to promote George Michael’s ‘Twenty Five' album. Rob has worked for Universal promoting ‘The Eli Stone Show’ where he sang to a stunned crowd in Leicester Square from the balcony of Ruby Blue.

Spotted By Chris Evans where he performed at the 1999 Virgin Christmas Party alongside Atomic Kitten, Raisa and the Clint Boone Experience. He subsequently went on to perform last Christmas on the Christmas Eve TFI Friday TV show alongside the Pet Shop Boys and the Lightening Seeds.

No Stranger to TV - Rob has also appeared on the Girlie Show and the Late Late Show with the fabulous Corrs. He was also invited to appear as a guest with Shirley Bassey on the Spanish version of Stars in Their Eyes during 1996. His accurate images and unbelievable vocals of the George Michael and Wham songs make this the number one live tribute show.

A Great Performance

Even though the main reason Rob would rush out to buy George Michael's latest release would be to memorise his new songs to perfection, major effort has been put into making his act believable.

"You've got to give a good performance," he says. "I've worked hard to ensure that the audience get what they've come to see a convincing act."

And they do indeed get that from the sound of his voice to his hip movements, and the look, Rob's repertoire is unbelievably comparable to the real thing and hugely popular he is the best Look-alike and sound-alike tribute to George Michael you will find!

"I always ensure my audiences have fun," says Rob" When it comes to having a good time, I'm your man!
