Jitterbug, jumpin’ jive and jazz generators…the Dr. TeethBig Band are a brilliant high energy fun band guaranteed to wow onlookers. Fronted by the larger than life 6ft 6 tall Stephen “The Doctor” Steinhaus who hails from Chicago, the Dr. Teeth team are one of Britain’s most in-demand purveyors of retro siwng and boogie music that was “top of the pops” in the 1940s & ’50s.
Blasting out their own interpretations of the big hit tunes from the big band era but with their tongue firmly in their collective cheek and with the emphasis on audience participation on fun, this is a band that oozes quality and laughs while keeping the dance floor packed.
Steinhaus, a reformed bouncer from Illinois, initially came to the UK to study Shakespeare but soon found himself fronting one of the country’s leading jive outfits who seem to live & breathe early Rhythm & Blues music.
