The Subterraneans formed in 1998 from two well renowned bands - 'Dangerfield' and 'Baby on Board' and also 'on board' is former Style council member Anthony Harty.

Very much a party band, playing rock and pop from the past four decades and amazingly busy also for weddings and corporate events The Subterraneans are booked by clients very early as their popularity happily precedes them (up to twelve months in advance in some cases!)

Booked by major venues in the Midlands for not just regular ticket sales nights (as they know all the tickets will be sold!) but also for consecutive Christmas party nights.

The band achieved success appearing on The Chris Evans shows, Glastonbury and Phoenix festivals in 1997 and touring with Roy Wood amongst many other grear gigs! 

In 2004 Grammy award winning record producer Roger Lomas was approached by life-long friend Hazel O'Connor to help find a band to collaborate with her on a series of LIVE one-off dates and various music festivals spread throughout 2004. Roger immediately thought of the Subterraneans as his first choice and suggested that Hazel should go and see the band. Hazel was impressed with what she heard and saw, so invited the band to join forces with her on her forthcoming shows. The Subs became Hazel O'Connors backing band in 2004 recording a live DVD of hazels greatest hits and touring with Hazel around the U.K Highlighted by a stunning performance at Glastonbury 2004.

 

Early 2008

The Subs Travelled to Paris to perform at the famous Laloco. This was filmed by the outstanding Luc Besson, Director of Films such as 5th Element and Leon.
