The Nine Piece Band was formed by (ex - Chris Barber) 'Drummer Extraordinaire', Alan 'Sticky' Wicket in the year 2000. Debuting at The 100 Club London in January 2001, they appeared under the name 'The Little Big Band'. Since then, they have performed at major festivals & Swing-Dance events all over the UK, including The Savoy Ball, The Swing-Jam, Marlborough Jazz Festival, Blenheim Palace, The Glitter Ball, Jitterbugs and regular visits to The 100 Club. They also appeared on the BBC TV Homeground documentary 'We'll Meet Again' and met up with The Jiving Lindyhoppers with whom they have collaborated on stage shows.
